The Youth Reading Room is situated on the second floor in the new building (building I, entrance A).
The Youth Reading Room is intended for students ranging in age from end-stage primary school pupils up to pre-university adolescents.
Reference book collection contains encyclopaedias, dictionaries, compendia covering different fields of knowledge and literary critical studies of required readings.
The Reading Room offers the youth with valid school IDs the use of 3 PCs with free Internet access for information and scholarly purposes.
The Reading Room employees give library lessons to students of primary and junior high schools, they show the Library to visiting school groups.
Every year the Youth Reading Room organizes meetings within the scope of a Polish campaign “All of Poland Reads to Kids”(„Cała Polska Czyta Dzieciom”) and exhibitions presenting the Library’s collections and promoting reading among young users of the Pomeranian Library.
