Audiobooks Library is situated on the ground floor in the old building (building III, entrance C – from the car park at Podgórna Street).
Our collections comprise about 3 700 audio-book titles on tapes and CDs, Braille handbooks and large print magazines. A collection of sound recordings offers a wide choice of belles-lettres and popular science publications in various fields of knowledge.
“Sunny Workshop” is a reading place for blind and short-sighted children. It was created thanks to the co-operation of the Pomeranian Library and the Magnolia Lions Club, which has bought and donated the necessary equipment.
Since May 2005, the Centre of Cultural Activity for the Visually Impaired has been operating in the Reading Room. Its main objective focuses on carrying out activities targeted at the blind and short-sighted, aiming to develop and satisfy their cultural needs, to support gifted individuals with sight dysfunction, and to promote, activate and integrate this community.
The Centre organizes lectures, meetings with interesting people, music and recitation events. Moreover, it presents artistic works of blind and short-sighted people.
